LONDON, Nov 8 — Scotland and Sunderland goalkeeper Craig Gordon broke his arm in yesterday’s 2-0 Premier League defeat by Tottenham Hotspur, the club said.
The 26-year-old, who was substituted in the second half at White Hart Lane after colliding with Jermain Defoe, was taken to hospital where X-rays confirmed the fracture of his left forearm.

Negeri lift the Malaysia Cup, after 61 years

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 8 — After a long wait, Negeri Sembilan succeeded in lifting the prestigious Malaysia Cup when they beat Kelantan 3-1 in the final at the National Stadium, Bukit Jalil last night.
The last time Negeri Sembilan won the cup was 61 years ago, when it was the HMS Malaya Cup in 1948.

Murray beats Verdasco to reach Valencia final
