Attorney-General denies delaying Kartika’s punishment

ROMPIN, Nov 8 — Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail has denied delaying punishment on part time model Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno. Five dead in police shootout

SHAH ALAM, Nov 8 — Five men in a car, en route to execute a robbery, literally came to a dead end near Klang earlier today after they were killed by the police in a shootout. The driver of the Kelisa had earlier tried to mow down a team of policemen who had asked them to alight from the vehicle for inspection. At that juncture, one of the five fired in the direction of the police who returned fire, causing the Kelisa to skid and ram into the barrier of a nearby ditch. Nine-year-old drowns in Terengganu river

HULU TERENGGANU, Nov 8 — A nine-year-old girl, Tuan Nor Farah Amira Tuan Harun, drowned after she had gone to play along the banks of Terengganu River with her sister and three cousins in Kampung Getang, Telemong, here, yesterday. The victim’s mother, Tengku Rubiah Tengku Ngah, 46, said she was at a relative’s wedding in Lubuk Periuk when the incident happened, and had always warned her children not to play in the river, especially during the rainy season. ...

MCA’s Disciplinary Board clarifies en bloc resignation

MACC forms special team to target lawmakers
