“He has not contacted me or any other PBS leader about it.
“He has not made up his mind yet. As far as we are concerned, he is still a
member of PKR,” Pairin told reporters during his visit to the Sepangar Container Port near here.
Pairin, who is Sabah Deputy Chief Minister, was asked on the possibility of PBS taking in Jeffrey into the party after Jeffrey resigned as PKR vice-president on Oct 28.
However, he said, should Jeffrey decide to rejoin PBS he would have to apply for it, like any other person.
Jeffrey was said to have resigned as the opposition party’s vice-president because of his dissatisfaction with the PKR’s central leadership on the appointment of Ahmad Thamrin Jaini as the state liaison chairman.
However, he remained as the Keningau division chief.
Following in his footsteps was Christina Liew who relinquished her post ascPKR supreme council member, but remained as the Kota Kinabalu division chief. — Bernama
