KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 4 — Syarie lawyers Mohd Faiz Adnan and Roshdan Sujak Rafie have pulled out from representing Manohara Odelia Pinot, the wife of the Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Sultan Ismail Petra, in two cases at the Syariah Court.

Counsel Zainul Rijal Abu Bakar, who represents Tengku Muhammad Fakhry, said he had received a notice regarding their withdrawal by facsimile at about 6pm yesterday.

"However, the reason was not stated," he said when contacted by Bernama.

Zainul Rijal said the two syarie lawyers represented Manohara and her mother in two suits against Tengku Muhammad Fakhry — one, for his estranged wife to return to him and the other for them to pay him RM1,112,250 which he claimed they owed.

He said the Syariah High Court in Kota Baru has fixed Nov 8 for the hearing of both cases.

Besides that, Manohara and her mother face a RM105 million defamation suit filed by her husband at the Kuala Lumpur High Court. — Bernama
